30 + years ago, a friend lent me a new book entitled “Fit for Life” by Harvey and Marilyn Diamond. At the time I knew very little about cooking, ate out a lot, smoked, enjoyed nightlife and was struggling to keep my weight down. 10 years earlier I had lost 60 pounds by eating very little and negatively impacting my metabolism. Aside from parties and rare occasions, I did not cook and when I did, I used the microwave oven for speed and convenience.
